 DRAGONFORCE have announced that they have parted ways with long-time vocalist ZP Theart due to "insurmountable differences of musical opinion". The South African has been with the band since their earliest days as DRAGONHEART and has sung on all four of their albums to date.
The band have opened auditions for a new vocalist - interested parties should visit www.dragonforce.com/audition for more information.

 Former IRON MAIDEN singers PAUL DI'ANNO and BLAZE BAYLEY are the lastest acts to be announced for the fourth installment of HARD ROCK HELL, which will take place from December 3rd-5th at Pontins holiday park in Prestatyn.
They join DIAMOND HEAD, SKID ROW, MSG, ENUFF Z'NUFF, L.A. GUNS, PRETTY BOY FLOYD and TANK, who were announced earlier in the week.

 Enduring thrashers HOLY MOSES are the latest band to be added to the bill for the 10th anniversary edition of BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR.
BLOODSTOCK's organisers have also confirmed that ROSS THE BOSS will be joined behind the drum kit by his former MANOWAR bandmate Scott Columbus.

 Swedish power metal troopers SABATON will return to the UK as part of their lengthy European trek to promote the upcoming Coat of Arms album. The tour is slated to begin in Tel Aviv at the end of August and run until December 11th in Umeå, Sweden.

 The long-running doom metal band CATHEDRAL will perform their first headlining tour in nearly four years with the announcement of a handful of dates in Britain and Ireland.
Heavy-duty support will be provided by Japan's CHURCH OF MISERY and American revivalists THE GATES OF SLUMBER.

The first raft of bands has been announced for the fourth installment of the HARD ROCK HELL festival, to take place from December 3-5 at its usual home of the Pontins holiday park in Prestatyn.

 Reactivated thrashers ONSLAUGHT have been added to the bill for BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR, to take place this August at the usual venue of Catton Hall, Derbyshire. In addition to being their only UK gig of 2010, this will mark ONSLAUGHT's first ever outdoor festival appearance in the UK.
Also announced are the winnners of BLOODSTOCK's Metal 2 The Masses competition, SNAKEBITE. Both bands will play main stage on the second day of the festival on Saturday, August 14th.

 FOZZY have announced plans for a short UK run in support of their new Chasing the Grail album. The dates in May will include two gigs on the same day at The Garage in London.
