What made you join a band?
The fact that I play drums, and everyone needs a drummer to have a proper rock'n'roll band.
What bands have inspired you to be in a band?
AC/DC, Iron Maiden, the Pogues, Agnostic Front, Rose Tattoo, Cock Sparrer, etc.
Is there a band that you've tried to copy?
With Dropkick Murphys, no. With other bands I have/had: Negative Approach, Straw Dogs(UK), Sledgehammer(Jap), Bull the Buffalos(Jap), Slapshot, etc.
Have you been in any other bands?
Yes. Many.
Where did you all meet?
At various gigs around Boston/New England.
How long have you been together?
Since Jan. '96(8 years!).
Do you all get on fine or are there moments when you want to kill each other?
We normally all get on fine, but as with anyone who spends as much time with each other as we do, of course there are disagreements, arguments, etc....but never anything serious.
What's your favourite band?
AC/DC
What's your favourite song by you?
'Wheel of Misfortune' or 'Get Up'.
What's your favourite song by another band?
Hmmmm....either 'Gimme Shelter' by the Stones or 'Live Wire' by AC/DC
What's your favourite album?
Definitely Powerage by AC/DC.
Where's the best venue that you've been to?
The Rat, Boston.
Where have been the best fans?
Boston, followed closely by Philadelphia and NYC.
What's the worst position you've been in with the law?
None of your business.
What's the best Country that you've toured in?
USA.
What advice would you give to people starting a band?
Don't try to model yourselves after another band, and don't give in to what's trendy at the moment.
Why did you choose to be in a band than any other job?
It's the only thing I have any sort of skill at, and it was my destiny.
