Here's what SikTh guitarist Pin had to say to us after returning from Japan...
How are you doing today??
Bloody marvellous! Spent four hours on a bus to & from rehearsals for the London Guitar Show at Wembley Exhibition Centre, which we're playing on May 8th & 9th. We rehearse in a farm in the middle of nowhere with no toilet..!?
What was your last tour like? Where were the best fans??
Our last headline tour was great from start to finish; Manchester, Portsmouth, Liverpool, which we played for the first time, Newcastle, Glasgow, there definitely weren't any weak points, and of course we were especially pleased with our London show at the Mean Fiddler, which sold out. As for the best fans... they were all fantastic, and the same has been true in both Ireland & Japan...
You're heading off to Japan soon, but when can we expect you back to tour Britain??
We've done Japan now, and we'll be going back there twice more this year. As for another UK headline tour, my guess would be early 2005.
Where would you like to play the most in Britain?
Well, I guess the Astoria in London would be nice, and then Brixton Academy after that..!
What do you think of your latest album??
It was a lot of hard work, but we're really pleased with the way it turned out; personally, I like the diversity, and of course the sonics, which allow you to hear the individual instruments. As a package - the music, the artwork, the lyrics, etc., I think it's as good as we could have done at that time...
What will be your next release from the album after Peep Show?
We hope to have something brand new out this year...
My favourite song probably is Peep Show, what's yours?
'Skies Of Millennium Night', I'd say, but it varies depending on my mood!
Any news on a new album, when can we expect to see it in the shops?
Again, early 2005 would be my guess...
Who generally writes your lyrics? Do you have any themes??
Mikee was responsible for most of the lyrics on the first album, and as for the individual themes... well, I guess you'd have to ask him about that, but there's definitely strong emotional & ecological messages peppered throughout the songs...
Most bands we've interviewed say their favourite band is the Ramones? What do you think??
Not the Ramones, no. Mine would be Pantera, Symphony X, Squarepusher, various works of John Zorn & Frank Zappa, Dream Theater, Metallica, Megadeth & Maiden...
Do all of you get on fine, or do some occasional fights break out?
As with any close-knit group, there is the occasional outbreak of tension within the ranks, but on the whole we get on like a house on fire...
Are there any questions that you get asked that are weird or that get annoying?
Er, let's see... 'What does your music sound like?' Also, any questions that mention the word 'noisecore'...
Here's some quick-fire questions to end with:
Emo or Metal??

Boys or Girls?

American Bands or UK Bands?
Neither... or both!
Music or Internet?

Linkin Park or Limp Bizkit??
